Cookies and local storage, in plain words
A cookie is a small file a site leaves in your browser and that gets sent back to the server on every visit. It is used to remember something from one page to the next.
Local storage is similar, but it does not travel: it stays on your device and only the site's code running in your browser can read it. None of it reaches our servers.
The difference matters, because nearly all tracking is done with third-party cookies, and right now there are none here.
What the site uses today
Two keys in local storage, both strictly technical and both plainly named.
The first, fragor-tema, stores whether you chose light or dark mode, so the page does not flash back to white on every visit.
The second, fragor-cookies, stores your answer to the cookie notice, so you are not asked again every time.
No third-party cookie is active: no analytics, no advertising, no social buttons measuring in the background. The day there is one, this text will name it.
What consent would enable
If you press accept in the notice, usage measurement is enabled: an analytics tool that counts pages viewed, where the visit came from and which buttons are clicked. It tells us which part of the site is not landing.
Advertising pixels could also be added, to measure whether an ad brought in enquiries. Those do install third-party cookies and do allow you to be tracked beyond this site.
None of that is on today. Accepting stores your permission for when it exists; if you choose only what is necessary, it never turns on.
How to change your decision
Clear this site's data from your browser settings, under privacy and site data. The next visit will ask you again and you can choose differently.
You can also block third-party cookies or browse in a private window. The site works the same; the only thing you lose is having your theme remembered.
If that is easier for you, write to fragorstudios@gmail.com and we will walk through it together.
Changes and questions
We update this text whenever what the site stores changes, and the date above says when that last happened. It is an honest description of how the site works, not legal advice.
If you want to know exactly what your browser has stored, write to fragorstudios@gmail.com and we will explain it step by step.
